Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 10, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how UAB Good Boy Labs ("Good Boy Labs", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the Gools mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service").

Gools helps you turn a goal you describe into an actionable checklist using artificial intelligence.

By using Gools, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Who We Are

The data controller responsible for your personal data is:

UAB Good Boy Labs
Gabijos 42
Vilnius, Lithuania

For privacy-related questions or requests, contact us at:

privacy@gools.app

2. Information We Collect

The information we collect depends on how you use Gools.

2.1 Goals and User-Generated Content

When you enter a goal into Gools, we collect the text of the goal you provide.

We use this information to generate an actionable checklist using our artificial intelligence service.

If you create an account and save your checklist, your goal and associated checklist data may be stored in our database so that you can access your checklist across sessions.

Your checklist may include:

  • the goal you entered;

  • an AI-generated summary of your goal;

  • checklist steps;

  • the completion status of checklist steps; and

  • information necessary to maintain your progress.

Please do not enter highly sensitive personal information into Gools unless it is necessary for the goal you are trying to accomplish. Gools is not designed to collect or process sensitive personal information as a primary purpose.

2.2 Account Information

Gools allows you to create an account using Sign in with Apple.

When you use Sign in with Apple, Apple may provide us with information necessary to create and authenticate your account.

Depending on your Apple settings, this can include:

  • your Apple-provided email address or Apple's private relay email address; and

  • your name.

Gools does not use or store the name provided by Apple for its account functionality.

Your Apple account identifier associated with the authentication process is maintained by our authentication provider, Supabase, as part of its authentication records.

We do not use your Apple identity information for advertising.

2.3 Subscription Information

Gools offers paid subscriptions through Apple's App Store.

Payments are processed by Apple through Apple's In-App Purchase system. We do not receive or store your full payment card number or other complete payment-card details.

We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status and entitlement information. This may include information such as:

  • whether you have an active subscription;

  • the subscription product associated with your account;

  • subscription and entitlement status;

  • trial status; and

  • information necessary to determine whether paid features should be available to you.

2.4 Analytics and Usage Information

We use PostHog to understand how people use Gools and to improve the Service.

Our current analytics implementation records events such as:

  • app opened;

  • goal submitted;

  • checklist generated, including success or failure;

  • checklist step checked;

  • checklist completed; and

  • paywall viewed.

PostHog also receives certain standard technical information associated with these events, which may include:

  • device or device model information;

  • operating system and operating system version;

  • application version;

  • anonymous device-generated identifiers;

  • application lifecycle information;

  • screen-view information; and

  • IP address and approximate geographic information derived from IP address.

Gools does not currently use PostHog to identify users by their Gools account email address or Supabase user ID.

Gools does not currently use session recordings or tap-level autocapture.

We use analytics information to understand product usage, diagnose problems, measure product performance, and improve Gools.

2.5 Crash and Error Information

We use Sentry for crash and error monitoring.

Sentry may receive technical information necessary to diagnose application crashes, errors, and reliability problems, such as device, operating system, application version, and diagnostic information associated with an error.

We use Sentry for technical monitoring and troubleshooting. We do not intentionally send your goal text to Sentry as part of ordinary crash monitoring.

2.6 Information You Provide When Contacting Us

If you contact us, for example by email, we collect the information you choose to provide, such as your email address and the contents of your message.

We use this information to respond to you, provide support, and address your request.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • save and display your goals and checklist progress;

  • authenticate your account;

  • provide features available to signed-in users;

  • manage subscriptions and access to paid features; and

  • provide customer support.

To operate and improve Gools

  • improve the functionality and user experience of Gools; and

  • develop and test improvements to the Service.

To comply with legal obligations

We may process information where necessary to:

  • comply with applicable laws and regulations;

  • respond to lawful requests from authorities;

  • establish, exercise, or defend legal claims; and

  • enforce our agreements and protect our rights.

We do not sell your personal data

We do not sell your personal data.

We do not use the content of your goals or checklists for advertising purposes.

4. Artificial Intelligence Processing

Gools uses artificial intelligence to transform your goal into an actionable checklist.

When you submit a goal, the goal text is transmitted from Gools' backend to OpenAI's API so that an AI model can generate the checklist.

OpenAI processes this information on our behalf to provide the AI service.

We do not use your goal text for advertising, and we do not sell your goal text or checklist data to OpenAI or other third parties.

Our use of the OpenAI API is subject to OpenAI's applicable business/API data-processing terms. OpenAI states that API inputs and outputs are not used to train or improve its models by default unless the API customer explicitly opts into data sharing.

The AI-generated output may not always be accurate, complete, or appropriate for your particular circumstances. You are responsible for deciding whether and how to act on any checklist generated by Gools.

Gools is a general productivity tool and does not provide professional medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice.

5. Legal Bases for Processing

If you are located in the European Economic Area, we process your personal data under applicable data protection law, including the General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR"), using one or more of the following legal bases:

Performance of a contract

We process information when it is necessary to provide the Service you request, including:

  • creating and maintaining your account;

  • generating your checklists;

  • storing your checklist and progress;

  • providing subscription features; and

  • providing customer support related to the Service.

Legitimate interests

We may process information where necessary for our legitimate interests, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights and freedoms.

These interests may include:

  • maintaining and improving Gools;

  • understanding how the Service is used;

  • ensuring security;

  • preventing fraud and abuse;

  • diagnosing technical problems; and

  • protecting and enforcing our legal rights.

Consent

Where required by applicable law, we rely on your consent for particular processing activities.

You may withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing that occurred before withdrawal.

Legal obligations

We may process personal data where necessary to comply with a legal obligation.

6. How We Share Information

We share information with service providers that help us operate Gools.

These providers may process information on our behalf and are expected to handle it in accordance with applicable privacy and security requirements.

Our principal service providers include:

Apple

Apple provides the App Store, In-App Purchases, and Sign in with Apple.

Apple processes information under Apple's own privacy policies and terms.

Supabase

We use Supabase for authentication, database storage, and backend infrastructure.

Supabase may process account information, authentication records, goals, checklist data, and related technical information necessary to provide these services.

OpenAI

We use the OpenAI API to generate checklists from user-submitted goals.

Your goal text is transmitted to OpenAI for this purpose.

PostHog

We use PostHog for product analytics and usage measurement.

PostHog may process anonymous or pseudonymous identifiers, event information, technical device information, application information, and IP-derived approximate geographic information.

Sentry

We use Sentry for crash and error monitoring.

Sentry may process technical and diagnostic information necessary to identify and resolve application errors.

We may also disclose information where necessary to comply with law, protect our rights, respond to lawful requests, prevent fraud or abuse, or protect the safety and security of users or others.

We do not sell personal data to third parties.

7. International Data Transfers

Some of our service providers may process personal data in countries outside the European Economic Area.

Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA, we take steps to ensure that the transfer is carried out using an appropriate legal mechanism under applicable data protection law, such as an adequacy decision or appropriate contractual safeguards where applicable.

Because our Service relies on third-party infrastructure providers, the location where particular information is processed may depend on the provider's infrastructure and configuration.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal data for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain your account, fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

If you delete your Gools account, we will delete your account and associated personal data from our active systems, except where we are legally required or permitted to retain certain information.

Some information may remain temporarily in backups or other technical systems before it is overwritten or deleted in accordance with our normal backup and retention processes.

Information that we are legally required to retain may be kept for the period required by applicable law.

Third-party service providers may have their own retention periods for information they process on our behalf, subject to their contractual and legal obligations.

9. Account Deletion

You can request deletion of your Gools account from within the Gools application.

When you delete your account, we will delete the account and associated data that we control, subject to information that we are legally required or permitted to retain.

Deleting your Gools account does not automatically cancel an active subscription purchased through Apple's App Store.

If you have an active subscription, you must manage or cancel that subscription through Apple's subscription management functionality.

Apple may retain transaction and purchase information as required for its own legitimate business and legal purposes.

10. Your Privacy Rights

  • Right to erasure — you may ask us to delete your personal data in certain circumstances.

  • Right to restriction — you may ask us to restrict processing in certain circumstances.

  • Right to data portability — in certain circumstances, you may request your personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.

  • Right to object — you may object to certain processing based on legitimate interests.

  • Right to withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time.

  • Right to lodge a complaint — you have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent data protection supervisory authority.

To exercise your rights, contact:

privacy@gools.app

We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests.

You may also have the right to complain to the data protection supervisory authority in the country where you live, work, or believe a violation has occurred.

In Lithuania, the relevant supervisory authority is the State Data Protection Inspectorate (Valstybinė duomenų apsaugos inspekcija).

11. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

These measures include the use of appropriate access controls, authentication mechanisms, encrypted communications, and security practices provided by our infrastructure and service providers.

However, no internet transmission or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

12. Children's Privacy

Gools is not directed to children and is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children.

If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us at privacy@gools.app.

If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child in circumstances where collection is not permitted, we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

13. Third-Party Services

Gools relies on third-party services to provide authentication, infrastructure, analytics, artificial intelligence, subscription management, and crash monitoring.

Those third parties may process information according to their own privacy policies and contractual obligations.

This Privacy Policy describes the categories of third parties used by Gools and how we use their services. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of relevant third-party providers where appropriate.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to Gools, our data practices, applicable law, or our service providers.

When we make material changes, we may provide notice through the application or by other appropriate means.

The "Last updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy indicates when the policy was most recently updated.
